If you’ve been around here for some time, you’ll know that I love weddings! And spring weddings hand you the colors, the vibe, and a built-in excuse to put flowers on absolutely everything.
Ahhhh, I’m in love!
We're talking gold accents, flowing fabric, and those little highlights that make guests pull out their phones before they even find their seats.
I love that with spring weddings it all comes together in a way that looks like it took months to plan. Really all you need are a few dreamy design ideas and you’re done.
Keep reading, because I'm rounding up some of my favorite spring wedding ideas that are equal parts dreamy and oh so doable.
Dreamy Chair Sashes
If you've ever walked down a wedding aisle and fell in love with each and every single chair, you get it. Draping sheer, blush fabric over Chiavari chairs and tying it with a ribbon and a small cluster of flowers is an amazing way to get that effect.
For a spring wedding especially, the ivory and champagne tones play well together in natural outdoor light. No filter needed!
I love this look because it lines the whole aisle, so every guest gets that wow factor as they take their seats, not just the ones in the front row.
This Is the Arch You'll Want to Say "I Do" Under
Isn’t this floral arch gorgeous? Pink and white hydrangeas, garden roses, and lush greenery wrapped around a full arch, with petals scattered on the deck below. It's the kind of backdrop that makes every single photo look like it came straight out of a bridal magazine.
What makes this style of arch so special for a spring wedding is the shape itself. Unlike a traditional rectangular arch, the curved arch creates this natural frame around you and hubby during the ceremony, which means every photo your photographer takes is already composed perfectly.
One thing to know when planning your floral arch is that the flowers at the base of the arch are just as important as the ones at the top. Notice how the bottom of this arch has those full clusters that anchor the whole design and makes it really lavish.
Consult with your florist so they capture your vision and specifications.
The Power Couple of Spring Flowers
In my opinion, peonies and roses is the combination that makes florists excited to come to work.
What I love about this pairing for a spring wedding is how versatile they are. You'll find them in bouquets, centerpieces, cake florals, and hair accessories.
Peonies are peak season in late April through June, so if your wedding falls in that window, you're in luck! And ask your florist specifically for garden roses (not standard roses) to get that full, romantic shape that you’re looking for.
Tall Centerpieces That Stand Out
It might be the case that your reception venue calls for a tall centerpiece. If so, then go for it! What makes this one work so well for a spring wedding is the mix of delicate petals alongside bold fern fronds and wispy baby's breath. It reads garden-fresh.
One thing to know also is that tall centerpieces like this are actually a smart space strategy. Because they sit above eye level, your guests can still see and talk to each other across the table. No awkward peering around a flower wall!
Ask your florist about copper or gold pedestal stands instead of the typical glass vases.
Spring-Ready Invitation Suite
Your invitation suite is the very first impression of your wedding.
This ornate rose gold set is a masterclass in doing it right. The handwritten calligraphy, the wax seal, the deckled edge paper, it’s all stunning!
Guests notice the invitation first and longest. The deckled (torn) edges on the paper are a detail worth requesting specifically, it adds an organic, handcrafted quality that printed edges just can't replicate.
Don’t be surprised if your guests for to RSVP because they're too busy staring at their invite…
Simple Aisle Chair Decorations
Don’t feel like going grand with your chair decor? Then go for something more simple. This one is perfect. An adorable cluster of white roses, pink buds, and eucalyptus tied with a simple cord and draped over a white Chiavari chair. It's fresh, and very spring.
I'd recommend asking your florist to use eucalyptus as the primary greenery, it smells incredible as guests walk by. Simple, pretty, done.
The Centerpiece Combo You Didn't Know You Needed
If you’re going for a more rustic look, then this might be for you! A cluster of glass bud vases, all sitting on a raw wood slice, filled with fluffy baby's breath, soft pink mums, green button flowers, and white buds. So pretty!
The trick is grouping the vases in odd numbers (three or five) at varying heights. Going with a wood slice base tie everything together. It keeps the vases from spreading out awkwardly across the table and it anchors the whole arrangement.
A Ceremony Setup So Pretty Your Guests Will Forget to Sit Down
First off, these gold bow-back chairs are darling. They’re sculptural on their own, so even without sash or floral additions on the chairs, the seating itself becomes part of the decor.
Look up! The cascading white drape overhead acts like a canopy that frames the entire ceremony space without any walls. That means you get an airy, open-air spring wedding while still having defined structure.
If you're getting married in a tent or open-air venue, talk to your rental company about draped ceiling installs. It transforms a plain tent into something that looks like a wedding for an A-lister.
The Spring Table Nobody Saw Coming
Can we talk about this tablescape for a second? Because there's a detail in here that most people would walk right past… using mirrors laid flat on the table as a base under the place settings!
It’s a designer trick that does something so clever, it bounces light across the entire table, so the gold flatware and glassware look twice as luminous.
And, yes, you can still have a spring theme without going for the standard spring flowers! This reception tablescape is doing everything right, and I can't stop looking at it.
Then there's the colors. Most brides default to pastels for spring, which is expected. Gold and sage green aren’t the obvious spring choice, but they’re so beautiful together.
If you're drawn to this look, the key is letting gold be your through-line. Use it in your chargers, your flatware, chairs, wherever you can, and then let the soft whites and greens do the rest.
Wedding Cake Flowers That Belong in a Museum
Placing fresh flowers on a wedding cake is an art. And for a spring wedding, it’s such a smart choice because your cake becomes part of your flower story. Instead of treating it as a separate element, your florist and cake artist can coordinate so the flowers on your cake actually match or complement your bouquet and centerpieces.
One important thing to know…always ask your cake artist to use food-safe picks when placing fresh flowers directly on the cake. Not all flowers are food-safe, and your baker will know which stems need to be wrapped before touching the frosting.
Unfortunately, I have seen far too many wedding cake flower fails. I don’t want that for you.
A Fresh Bouquet So Good It Almost Outshines the Dress
When it comes to your bouquet, you have full permission to make it spectacular. A bouquet that looks like it was picked from a garden never goes out of style.
The white and blush palette is incredibly versatile too, it works with virtually any wedding color scheme. So if you're still locking in your colors, a bouquet like this gives you maximum flexibility.
When you meet with your florist, ask specifically for "garden-style" rather than "structured round." That’s the loose, slightly organic shape that gives this bouquet its personality.
And if baby's breath makes you nervous because you think it’s dated, then I hope this bouquet shows you otherwise.
